While everyone is hyped for 2018,

I just have to spoil it with death.

Death comes suddenly for people that you thought are fine. For the next day, you might not see them.

Death of someone I only knew as a passerby, Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un – as someone who for me is there but never said hi to.

It is so close. Death is near. And is everywhere. It can occur to anyone and nothing can brace you for it.

So let this be a reminder for myself, to continuously and constantly make positive changes in this world and on myself. Being closer to Him every time I remember and not delay.

Time is limited by the breath you take.
