From Intro to Poetry
How should I say this?
An introduction to every poem is repetitive.
So, I jump straight into verse after verse of words.
And then leave you to ponder about the meaning of this.
Should I jump in or test the waters?
But I know that you skipped the beginning just to see the end.
Well, I think the end is more interesting than the first part.
So, I’ll just make it that and you’ll be wide awake,
I hope.
Poetry is simply: word art.
Sometimes, it is serious but mostly wit.
It doesn’t have to rhyme but it does have rhythm.
Like music, it has a certain tempo to it.
Everyone can write poetry.
It can be 4 lines with as little words as possible,
Like: She stood there,
At the edge.
There she goes,
She is now free.
It’s an unconscious thing,
Writing poetry.
But if any disagrees,
Feel free.
