Inside of us

The parts that we have tried to mend
And end
It doesn’t seem to bend.
Doesn’t seem to understand
Or comprehend
That we are trying to make amends
To shake each other’s hands.

Because we can’t have chaos inside of us
and expect to have peace on the outside.
