She clenched the broken pieces of glass.
As if she is used to the ache.
Her hands trembled in pain.
But no she won’t give in.
Day and night, the times she fought,
Her tears from running.
As if they’re diamond droplets that’s worth keeping.
Time constantly reminded her in her wake.
The things that she wished most to forget.
And dreams drifted her sideways and left their place.
A walking void of nothing but an empty shell.
All she does was walk with purpose.
When no one saw that she could.
But now she wants to fly free.
Yet bounded by the one that saw she could.
